We bought a Bamix Food Mixer at the Good Food and Wine show on Tuesday, 24 September. My wife had problems with the Bamix since day one as it did not do, or stood up to their promises. She phoned Homeline's office on the Wednesday after the show. A promise was made that the person that sold the unit to her will be in contact the next day. Nothing happened - she phoned another 3 times - nothing happened.

Eventually on Monday, 30 September, someone returned her email, stating that they will take the Bamix back, if it is still in the original package, which it was. On returning the unit, the lady that packed the unit at the show for us, was very abrupt and said that they cannot sell a used unit and that they are going to deduct 10% handling fee off the refunded amount. I think this is an absolute disgrace. If they have returned the calls as was promised, they could have had it back by the Thursday. Why are the consumer always on the paying side? With attitude like that, I will never buy any product from a show again - does not matter how much it is discounted. And I must wait for my money - even though I paid them immediately. Companies like that are not welcome in South Africa
