I called head office looking for a couch that I saw as the design quarter branch only had the display unit left. Head Office contacted me to say they would only get stock in January but would see if they could arrange a discount on the display model. I was then contacted at 11:53 on the 27/09/2013 by the design quarter branch to say that head office had contacted them and discounted the couch by 50% and he had also just checked the system and the discounted price was reflecting. At 12:12 head office then called to confirm that the branch had contacted me. I said they had and had also confirmed the discount and I would go pay that afternoon. As I was on my way to the store at 14:35 the store called me to say they had made a mistake and I could no longer get the 50% discount. I bought the couch at the original price but this will be the last purchase I make at Mr Price as it is disgusting that after telling me one thing and even checking the system they can just go back on their word.
