On Sunday, 15/09/2013, I drove my mother in law (a pensioner) to Mr Price Home at Parkview Shopping Centre. She's been saving up for some time to buy a sleeper couch for her room and asked me to take her to buy it from Mr Price Home.
After eventually getting the salesman's attention, we enquired about pricing of the couch my mom was interested in, only to be told there were no remaining stock apart from the one on display which had dirty smear marks all over. I asked if it will be cleaned up or we be given discount as it was a dirty display model, only to be told that Mr Price Home will never give a cent discount on any merchandise, especially not on display items. When I asked for a manager, I was told that I will get the same answer from management, so he is not going to call any manager.
We then opted to take another couch of which we were told they had 3 in stock and the salesman ran off to fetch one from the stock room. To our bewilderment and after paying R3500 for the Cozy Sleeper couch as displayed, we found that we were given a different CHEAP R2000 couch. Now the manager won't set things right and won't collect his couch which we will not transport up and down again!
