I have had my account with Edgars for over 20 years - never a problem to them - last week i get a letter stating that they have sold their book to Absa bank and because they didnt have enough information on my account it couldnt be transferred - i must now continue to pay my account but it will be closed on the 31 Jan 2014 and I must reapply to open another account - has anyone ever heard of such terrible customer service - they have my box address etc and they couldnt be bothered to write a letter to me requesting this info and now expect me to reapply - what has happened to these big corporation - do they not have any customer service ethics??? I spoke to Ayanda who spoke to her Team Manager and she said the same thing to me - I just am gob smacked at this lack of business sense and customer care...
