I've just received a letter from Edgars advising me that "due to insufficient information" they will be closing my account. I can reapply and they will consider my application provided I meet their credit requirements. After 30 years of having this account, which I use and pay off regularly, they treat a customer like this? They have my correct postal address (hence the letter), they have my e-mail address (I receive my accounts in this manner), they have my cellphone number (rec'd an SMS this morning advising me of Thank U points I have accumulated.
I phoned their customer care today, and was told "everybody is getting a letter like that and will have to reapply." If this is the way you treat your valued customers, Edgars, here's one very upset customer that will NOT be reapplying.
