I visited the Spar in Bellair today, since my husband saw that the cat litter was cheap the previous day. When we both went there today we saw that the price was still the same (R11, 95). We looked carefully and checked the barcodes and also that it was that specific product for that price. We decided to take two bags. We went to the tillpoint to pay and the total was R119, 99! Very big difference from what we expected to pay (R24). When we told them that was not the price on the shelf, the cashier at the kiosk was completely ignorant and stared back at us with a dumbfounded look. We had to tell her to go check the price, which took a really long time. She just told my husband "its the wrong price". We got no apology. When we asked to speak to the manager she did not want to call him. How can such a huge store mislead customers and employ such useless people? Catch a huge wake up Spar! You will be losing a of a lot of customers with this attitude. Try employing cashiers who practice proper customer service and people who can pack shelves properly without scamming shoppers. This is disgraceful. Will NEVER go there again! Will definitely spread the word of how your store operates.
