On Friday, 26 April 2013, whilst in the area I went into Spar Value Mart in Pretoria to get toilet paper. I noticed shelves and shelves stacked with Baby Soft toilet paper (18 rolls) at the shelf price of R49.99. These price tags were on each shelf. I took photos as proof.
When trying to pay I was told the price is R69.99. I called the manager (the rudest, aggressive person seen in a long time). I showed him the prices on the shelves and said that is what I am paying. He denied that that is the price. I then told him that if it was the wrong price, the customer should pay what is shown and not wonder whether the staff of the store was negligent or not. This turned out not to be the case and I left before it was too late. My suggestion to potential shoppers at Spar Value Mart, please be on the lookout for what is priced on the shelves and what you eventually pay. I will do my all to discourage people in the community to support them anymore.
