No refund from Truworths!

I bought an item from Truworths Man on 25 August 2013. I came in on 31 August to return the item. I did not have the slip as my domestic mistakenly discarded it, so I brought my bank statement showing payment from my card for the item. I waited in the store for over an hour while the staff searched for the docket. A helpful man named Daniel took over and advised that they need to search for the docket which may take some time. I gave him my cel number and advised him to call me with feedback. About an hour after I left the store, daniel called to say the docket was located and I need to come to the store to organise the refund to my card.
Today I was about to go to the store (at 12PM) when I got a call from Daniel advising they cannot do the refund without a slip and they can offer me a store credit. I told him this was unacceptable as I do not need anything from their store. He said without a slip they could not do a refund.

I insist that my refund be processed immediately! THis is unacceptable store policy, particularly when I have provided proof that I have made the payment!
