Sometime in January 2013, I received a statement from Ackermans about an "account" I had opened with them. The balance was R6376, 23 an the credit limit was R6100.00. I immediately phoned their office to dispute the account. They advised me to make an affidavit and send certified copies of my ID, which I duly did. That was six months ago. I have been phoning regularly to enquire on the progress on the investigation. Each time I am told they are still investigating. Honestly how long can such a simple investigation go on. In the mean time they keep sending me statements indicating that I owe them, yet I did not open an account. May hello peter find out for me. At the moment my name is listed with the credit bereau that I am owing.
