A Warranty on a purchase means NOTHING!!!

In 2005 my husband (then boyfriend) purchased a bed from Beds for Africa

The make is a Chiro King Dream maker, and stamped on the bed says it has a 10year warranty. We approached the branch in Fourways to assist us with the problem we are experiencing where the frame of the bed on the left hand side the springs are protruding out of the material and resulting in cutting my self when changing sheets, walking past the edge - cuts me and an absolute discomfort to sleep on, the gentlemen named "Trevor" agreed he will help us on the replacement of the bed, he said he wants to try source where the invoice is and had to contact the Head office branch to manually search, we provided him with an affidavit stating the information under oath that my husband purchased the bed from them. It has taken them over 2 weeks to contact us to update us with what is happening.

Then on the 23 July 2013 the rep contacts my husband and says we have to pay in R5500.00 to replace the bed, But i spoke to Trevor prior and he said that the rep will contact us and then discuss a date and time to come look at the defected bed and then come to a decision on what to pay and do etc.

I feel this is wrong!
