I purchased a Serta pocket coil bed from bed king in tokai, thinking that i am purchasing a good bed i wont have any issues, especially at the price i paid, my main problem is that when i purchased this bed, the guarantee and warranty was not explained to me or my husband, on my receipt there is no talk of guarantee or warranty, now that my bed is 2 years 7 months old and my bed is making a noise as if one of the springs are broken, i approached bed king in which they duly sent thru all the information thru to serta, serta contacted me to say that they no longer make my make of bed anymore and that i would need to get the newer module but because my bed is out of guarantee i would need to pay the warranty fee which is over R2000, i went back to bed king to inform them of this and the fact that we were not aware of the warranty pay in and the fact that no where does it state that on my invoice, all they could say was that they would speak to the owner, which they came to me to say, sorry too bad for you, you need to pay in the money, i am really unhappy with the way this situation has been dealt with and i have been in contact with the consumer protection.
