Simmons Beds – Unacceptable Warranty

I purchased a Simmons Royal Monarch King Size Extra Length in 2007 from Dial-a-Bed Fourways. The bed should have come with a 3 year guarantee and 12 year warranty. The springs have become very noisy and the mattress saggy.
Simmons sent a technician out to inspect. It was determined that there was a problem with the mattress. Simmons now says that because Dial-a-Bed Fourways sold the bed with MasterGuard, the Warranty is void. I now have to pay R6600 to get the bed repaired as it might be due to the MasterGuard application that was put on in 2007. I mean this is ridicules; the bed was not cheap when purchased in 2007. Dial-a-Bed as a premium reseller should not have then MasterGuard the bed. On the Invoice and while the purchase was taking place there was no mention of the warranty been void if MasterGuard was added.
I mean you purchase a name brand from a reputable store, pay and arm and leg. And have the idea that the investment is good for 12 years. Then get told a totally different story. Honestly, unacceptable.
