Edgars and Hollard funeral plan

My wife received a letter from Edgars thanking her for purchasing a funeral plan and giving her 30 days to cancel if she phoned an 0860 number. This appeared to be a negative marketing ploy so we phoned Edgars to enquire why we had received the documentation and make our displeasure known. Edgars advised that she had responded to a phone sales pitch. She advised them she had not but would like to listen to the tape of the acceptance by her. Edgars then phoned some days later and said that in fact she had signed up for it at the Pavilion branch and not responded to the phone sales offer. She then requested a copy of the signed document but Edgars are unable to provide it to date. She was billed on her Edgars account but refunded after her call. This whole matter looks to be somewhat suspect and in my opinion in contravention of the CPA "negative option marketing".
