Living where we do some 160km up the West Coast we are reliant on anyone travelling to Cape Town to shop on our behalf. And so it was that I asked friends to buy 3 of the same facial products at Dis-Chem Willowbridge, Tyger Valley, but misunderstanding led to the incorrect purchase.
I contacted them explaining my quandary and the fact that (a) the till slip couldn't be found and (b) I would only be coming to the city in about two weeks' time and on that basis would they be prepared to allow me to swap the 3 items for the correct ones.
Not only did Wilma call me the same day in response to my emailed request, her manager said it would be absolutely fine for me to make the exchange without any proof of payment (I obviously promised to return the goods in an unopened condition).
I will be doing so shortly and will happily be spending much more money at this soooper store!
