RESUING TO EXCHANGE GOODS

My daughter-in-law was given a feeding pillow as a gift, but she already has one. Obviously due to the fact that it was a gift she does not have the till slip. We went to Baby Boom at Willowbridge yesterday morning to ask them to exchange the product, but the refused to exchange it as she does not have the original till slip. We tried to explain to the Manager that it was a gift and that she didn't expect them to refund her. She was quite happy to exchange it for something else. In all probability she would have exchanged it for something more expensive, so Baby Boom would have made a sale as well. I find this totally unacceptable and the only retail store that refuses to exchange a product without a till slip. The Manager advised that it is company policy. The fact of the matter is that it was not expected of them to refund the money, just do an exchange. I for one, will never shop at Baby Boom again. I find their service shocking
