I visited the Cosmo City Shoprite LiquourShop today at about 14:40 to purchase a pack of 6 hunter's dry and a packet of smokes, I made a payment at pay point which is close to the door. As I was exiting the store the security guard named Nyiko asked for the receipt I told him to take it from the plastic bag as it was on top of the 6 pack. He refused and demanded that I take it out and give it to him on his hand, I left the parcel with him and went to the parcel counter to fetch the rest of the stuff I had bought from Shoprite. I returned and my parcel was on the floor I grabbed my parcel and he wrestled with me for it and told me that I need to take out that slip and give it to him. A young man intervened I'm not sure if his the manager or what he checked the slip and I left.
I don't understand why any security guard would treat a paying customer like a dog. I didn't appreciate his tone nor his attitude towards me. He treated me as if I had done something wrong. Shoprite security guards need to learn a thing or about customer service. At the end of the day what would Shoprite be without it's customers.
He didn't even apologise. How sad that Shoprite guards just don't care
