REFUSING TO TAKE BACK A DAMAGED ITEM

A FRIEND PURCHASED A TOP FOR ME FROM THE BRANCH IN PINETOWN @ THE END OF MAY, I WORE IT ONCE AND HAVE NOTICED THE STITCHES WE OPENING ALSO THE TOP WAS GETTING FLUFFY. I THEN VISITED THE BRANCH IN THE BLUFF AND WAS TOLD THAT I CANNOT BE GIVEN CASH BACK BECAUSE MY FRIEND HAD USED HER CREDIT CARD TO MAKE THE PURCHASE SO I ASKED IF I GAVE IT TO MY FRIEND TO TAKE BACK TO THE PINETOWN BRANCH AS I DO NOT LIVE NEAR PINETOWN, WOULD IT BE OK, SHE SAID THAT THERE WILL BE NO PROBLEM BECAUSE SHE IS THE CARD HOLDER AND THE REFUND WILL GLADLY BE DONE. WHEN THE ITEM WAS TAKEN TO PINETOWN MY FRIEND WAS TOLD THAT THE ITEM COULD NOT BE TAKEN BACK BECAUSE I USED A BAG WHICH PULLED THE FABRIC. I AM TOTALLY UPSET BECAUSE I AM GETTING ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE SERVICE FROM IDENTITY AND HOW ON EARTH CAN THE STAFF BE SO SURE TO SAY THAT I USED A BAG THAT PULLED THE GARMENT WHEN I DID NOT EVEN USE A BAG ON THE DAY I WORE THE ITEM! THIS ATTITUDE IS COSTING ME MY TIME AND TRAVELLING TO GET THIS SORTED OUT AND I AM OFF! I DONT SEE HOW THE MANAGER IN BLUFF COULD ACCEPT THE ITEM BUT PINETOWN CANNOT
