I purchased clothes for my daughter with my debit card which was declined. I went and drew cash and paid. The following day I noticed that the money had gone through on the debit card. I contacted the store and was told to take in bank statement which I did. I have now been waiting over a week for this to be reversed and they can only come up with lame excuses. On speaking to ABSA about this I was informed that they have a lot of problems with Legit and debit cards - so what??? Are they purposely using machines that reflect declines but in actual fact have gone through, earning loads of interest while we have to fight to get our double charged money back???
