DOUBLE PAYMENT IS NOW A INCONVENIENCE TO ME!

I purchased some items at Checkers Lifestyle in Centurion on Saturday. I wanted to pay with my credit card. I was told that the transaction declined. There is an ATM close to the tills and I went there and drew the cash and paid cash. At this time I received an SMS from my bank that showed the money had gone off my Credit card. The supervisor (Jeminah Magoro) was called and she told me to check my account that evening because it will automatically be reversed. I checked my back account this morning and the debit is still showing, but no credit. I phoned the shop now and I was told to come in with a bank statement and slip and that the necessary reports will then be checked in order for me to receive my money back. I work full day and I am drive all the way from Johannesburg, get a bank statement and then to visit the shop. I asked if there was any way I could e-mail the details and was told no by Adrian, the manager. This is a inconvenience and I do not understand why the error could have been corrected immediately.
