I used my credit card at a petrol station on 23 January 2013 but the transaction was declined. It appears I was locked of my account as my pin number was being rejected (I have since changed the pin and the card is working). As the transaction was declined I paid for the goods using my debit card and the tranaction went through. After checking my bank statement for this month I noticed that the transaction had been processed and debited against both my debit and credit card, so I end up paying twice. It appears the so call chip credit cards are not so secure as this transaction was processed with the pin being acepted. Standard Bank please sort out, refund my money and look into your security.
