Double Debit of personal loan

On the 5th October I received a notification via sms that ABSA has debited R2620.36, I then proceeded to go to my nearest branch as I was at home. I went to enquire at ABSA Lansdowne.
They then informed me that due to me changing my debit order date, about 3 months ago (this was done by an agent in ABSA Bank in Raatz drive) I missed a payment, that is why they debited my personal loan twice plus interest.
Surely this is a mistake as when the agent actioned my reguest she would've informed me that I would go into arrears when I changed my debit order. I distinctly remember that the agent had to email another department to get authorisation to change the debit order and all was in order?
So why did they double debit me?
This is my money ABSA is now messing with!
Just so you know, on Monday 7 October, I went into ABSA Lansdowne to see whether I can get a refund, they sent forms and I had to sign documents to get the refund, i was told it would be refunded in 24 hours... 2 weeks later I still receive nothing from ABSA. i had to call them to enquire! i demand my money back along with the interest that was charged!
