I recently purchased a Makita grinder in febraury from Makro. One of the salesmen said that is was a good industrial grinder and it has a 1 year garantee on amuture and motor. Two weeks later the grinder packs up and I had to purchase a Ryobi grinder from Game and it is still running well uptil today. I gave the Makita grinder back to Makro for repairs on the 17 february 2013. I then got report a from Makro stating that amuture, brushes and 3 pin plug has been changed and that the repairs came to R823.00 and i must pay to get the grinder repaired but I purchased a Makita grinder knowing that it is a good product but I then found out that Ryobi grinder works much better and it has a much longer durability than a Makita grinder. If they say that the warranty does not cover amuture and motor, then it means that the warranty is only covering the plastic parts of the grinder! Makro sales people mislead their customers by false information and garantee on the product. If repairs cost R823.00, I would have added another R200 and bought a brand new grinder instead!
