I purchased a lithium ion drill/grinder in July from Makro and after the 1st charge the battery packed up. It was 2 weeks and 2 days since purchase so Makro would not refund the purchase. I took it to the dealer for repair and after a month they said they had no joy form Ryobi, for a new battery and gave me a letter for Makro to replace the battery. What worries me is if this drill is out of warranty how am I going to get it fixed as they clearly have no backup service for their products. Buyer beware. The few extra bucks for a decent product goes a long way.
