Taking Advantage of customer - bad service

My mother lives in Humansdorp and is a pensioner. As we do not have lots of options for security in the area we chose ADT. Everytime the power goes off we get a warning on the alarm system that there is a problem. We have reported this to ADT several times and told them that we think the battery is faulty. Someone came out and said all is fine. Not too long ago my mum was visiting me and we had a report of a power outage and then her alarm just went of continuously. I went there to see what the problem was and the alarm system was completely dead. ADT said there is a weekend call out fee. I explained it was reported previously they cannot hold us responsible for weekend callout. We also could not wait till Monday as we have had break ins before and my mum lives alone and is scared but I am not prepared to pay the fee. The technician came out and the battery was leaking so badly. He told us that the battery should have lasted much longer and not only 2 years. Now ADT send acc for R845 & if we don't pay they won't respond on alarm and will blacklist. This is totally unacceptable!
