RENT-A-PROP rented out our home on our behalf. After the tenant moved out, they did an inspection and told me there were minor problems to fix. I accepted their word as I live in another province so could not go and inspect the property. Subsequently, a new tenant has moved in through another agency. It has now come to my attention that my pool pump is cracked, various electrical faults exist in the house of which I was not alerted, my brand new carpet are filthy, the walls are dirty, the one toilet leaks, taps are falling out of my bathroom walls, the kitchen sink has a leak in the pipe etc etc. The new tenant had to replace numerous lightbulbs as they couldn't even care enough to replace these! A contractor that was hired by them to fix a water leak in the house, has also not been paid whilst the amount was deducted from my rental!!
Repeated attempts to get hold of Rent-a-prop to go and sort out this mess, have delivered no results.
I would strongly urge residents of Moreletapark to rather consider other agencies for rental purposes, agencies that actually take pride in their work and offer honourable service and that don't just take their commission and run.
