Martin Potgieter's - Remax Jacaranda agency brought a tenant to rent my property and I was told they had checked everything and had copies of the tenant's Identity Documents and will send it to me after signing the lease agreement.
A condition of the lease was that some of my personal property remained at the house.
The tenant then failed to pay rent and eventually moved out, with over four months rent outstanding, under the supervision of Remax, also taking all of my personal property.
Remax were unable / unwilling to trace or give me the whereabouts of the tenant after they left and when I tried tracing them myself it turned out that Remax never took copies of the tenants ID or were unwilling to give it to me, since Remax allowed the tenant to enter and remove my property from the house even after they left and against my instructions.
