I visited the Westville Public Library on Buckingham Terrace with my baby daughter in her pram. I have visited these premises for years so I fully nderstand the rules and do abide by all.
I needed to uses the lavatory. I am aware that there is no 'family room' in this ancient building and I also know that manouvering baby's pram into the confined space of the public toilet would be almost impossible.
As I was in the junior section alongside where a staff toilet is in full view, I politely asked two different members of staff if I may use their facilities, considering my predicament.
One being a male and the other a female. Both didn't even take a moment to consider. Each just blanky, said No!
Appalled at their lack of comprehension and zero compassion.
