Department of Labour
No Assistance from Department of Labou

I gave in my application for UIF benefits on 01/10/12. This has been rejected because of outstanding birth certificate. Gave in on 03/11/12 at Paarl branch. They told me within 7-10days I will have my money.
I had to follow up on 28/11/12 with mrs ellis and she said she could see my application has been approved but then rejected again. No one could tell me why for weeks. I have been phoning every week. On 23/01/13 I submitted another certified birth certificate and mrs Barkhuizen would follow this up with me. She never returned my call. I phoned her again on 04/02/13 and she still could't give me answer and told me to phone Cape Town office 021 441 8000. Early monday morning I got through once and they told me to phone enquiries 0214418201. this phone has not been answered in the last 3 days. I phoned 0214418000 today twice to hold on for over 5 minutes and then be cut off. I then phoned the minister's office on 0214667160 to complain and they said they cant help me I must phone 0123095253 once again to find out no one answer's.
