Department of Home Affairs
NON-RETURN OF MY CHILD'S BIRTH CERTIFICATE

In July 2012 I went to the Department of Home Affairs for the change of name of my child. I was told to chck the progress after 3 months because the change of name takes upto 3 months. In November 2012 I returned in the Home affairs offices. I didnot get the certificate.

Then I called the main office in Pretoria in November 2012 and was told my documents were not submitted. In January 2013 I went to the offices in Carolina to check if the certificate was back but didnot get it but was showed the records of the certificate when was it submitted to PTA. I again called the offices in PTA on the 21st of January 2013 but was not assisted.

Up-to-date my child does not have a certificate. Please help
