No Electricity for 4 days - Disconnected

We have now been staying in our new home for -4 months. We have started the process of having the City of Joburg account transferred from the previous owners name into ours. After sunmitting the paperwork to the council on SEVERAL different occations, we eventualy got our new account number on 06 October 2013, with all deposits required paid.

Then, we receive a notice that there was an arrears amount on the account which we need to pay R6800 to avoid disconnection. So, we paid the R6800. Then a week later we received another disconnection notice saying we owe R18 000. BOOM, the next morning we were disconnected (Wednesday 23 Oct 2013). I made contact with a firm that specializes in this type of issue, and they advised that there are certain monies that needed to be paid, so I forked out another -R10 000 and forwarded the proof of payments through.

After speaking to the call centre again on several different occations, they promissed that the power will be re-connected the same day and that they will also waiver the re-connection fee as they did not give us 14 days notice.

It is now Saturday 26 Oct 13 and we still do not have any power.

CAN ANYBODY PLEASE ASSIST!!!
