Good day,

I wish to lay an official complaint with your society for the unfair and illegal black listing of daughter for an account that she does not owe your society a single cent for.

We have also being getting calls from VVM attorneys, who refuse to talk to me, however I do have a signed POA to act on her behalf in this matter (See attached now scanned in).

The fact is that my daughter went to a Vodacom store in Greenstone, numerous times at the time I was with her. She eventually got help from a lady at the Vodacom store that got us help on the phone with Vodacom customer services.

They advised that the contract would be cancelled from 30 August 2024 and therefore there would be no further payments or invoices due for her cell number 084 382 0344.

Attached find the following:-

1. Final demand letter dated 07/12/2024 for an amount of R1 602.24 to which we do not know what this is for (what is capital outstanding? Device nil and calls nil? So what is this for?

2. Scanned copy of the POA authorising me to act on her behalf as she is not living in RSA currently

3. Email received 18/07/2024 confirming that the contract was cancelled and that the number had been converted to a prepaid number “will take effect on 2023-08-31”

4. Vodacom invoice dated 30/09/2023 for a credit amount on the contract that was cancelled effective 31/08/2024

5. Copy of bank statement for payment made to Vodacom on 01/08/2024 for the contract for August 2023 month

6. VVM final demand for an amount R1786.50 for what?

As far as we are aware and concerned this matter was closed and all payments were settled and that there is actually a minor credit due to her on her contract.

My daughter never got any further accounts after the last one for 30/09/2023 which is attached that reflects that the contract was in credit so this final demand and blacklisting is totally uncalled for and must be removed and clear her name with the credit department with immediate effect. The other cell number on the invoice being +27713052516 my husband transferred to his name and is currently paying that account in his name now with Vodacom from his own bank account.

I await your feedback and reply to this matter latest 26th August 2024 or I will be left with no other alternative but to take this to the Ombudsman for finalisation and compensation for my daughter for unfair blacklisting due to company incompetency in the accounts department.

I request an apology letter to be sent to my daughter directly to her email being [email protected] confirmation that this matter has been removed from her credit record accordingly and this matter has been cleared and resolved.

Please urgently provide me with feedback accordingly.
