I moved house (30 Sept. 2012) and had requested the existing telephone line to be closed as i wanted a new line to be put into the new premises. December is was billed for a reconnection fee on the old account number. i laid a dispute (3 Jan. 2013) with telkoms contact center. the person attending to my dispute informed me that the i only have to pay R874.69 and not R1100, which i paid and the difference will be credited. January statement the bill shows R979 outstanding which is impossible for a residential line and i mostly use it for my DSL line and a few calls. Again i laid a dispute and the person Salisa confirmed that she will log another dispute (14 Feb. 2013) for the R979 and why my old account is being used. i called to find out the progress of the dispute, she has not logged a dispute of could not give me reference number and the supervisor is always on training or in a meeting. Mangement is never available and they should have all the recording of my calls as they claim to have. Please advise as i have given up and would foresee going to another service provider.
