I would like to lay a complaint against Sougate Mall - Vodacom.

Good Day

Please assist:

I have a contract with Vodacom taken 2022. The double deal I took with you guys, those two phones were stolen in a high-jacking in December (17-12-2023)- let me know if you need the case number.

I went into the store to do a sim-swap for the numbers and one of your employees suggested I upgrade, as I am due for an upgrade.

1. I do not know when a customer is due for an upgrade – I received an email from Vodacom as well saying so, and I took up a phone – under the impression I was upgrading, only to see on the statement that a line was added.
2. I asked the gentleman – if I am upgrading, why am I taking a new number and signing paperwork – he told me its procedure.

The store manager will not assist, he says I signed and that’s it, he made no questioning or even trying to give assistance regarding this matter or even calling the person who handled upgrading now new line issue to order.

My issue is I do not have the funds to be paying that monthly bill, was told I would be paying R600 and something, not R1200. Unfortunately the phone is currently passed 14 days but not over 30days, I need assistance on reversing this or lowering monthly instalment, because this account at this rate is in high risk.

The employee was negligent in his processes and deceiving in actions thereafter, he now denies everything that was discussed regarding the upgarding process.

I have never upgraded before, after 20years +, I have never had issues with you guys until now. Please assist and ensure that this does not happen to someone else, putting the deliberately in deep debt instead of giving customer support to best assist them instead of taking advantage of them. 2 Days after a high-jacking, all I needed was assistance to do a sim swap.

Please ensure that he does not do this again and recommend any sort of assistance with this query.
