Giving false information to let you sign up

I thought I should note this, just in case someone is taken for the same ride.

My college asked if this representative can call me about the double deal, as I was interested to get more information I agreed.

At the end of the call from the agent, she asked if I had someone she could call because she needs to call a certain amount of people before she can go home. I have a heart and felt sorry for her, so I gave her a name. She immediately asked for another name (almost insisting). After speaking to my college, she noted that she had the same experience with her.

She had called me on Friday 5 April, but only called my friend on the Monday 8 April.
At first my friend declined. But the agent, as a sales person probably would, ask her again to join with more urgency and then mentioned I had joined and enjoy their service. (Which is not true)

On these grounds she decided to join. When talking to me afterwards the facts came out.

Needless to say I did not join and she cancelled.

BUT I want to mention the pleasant response form the call centre and manager to resolve the issue and the quick response to this issue.
