With reference to our telephone conversation today. I've sent my passport documents via registered mail on the 13th of February 2013. Last week when I followed up with the receiver of the documents, she informed me that she hasn't received anything yet. When on Monday we tried to track and trace the parcel via the internet, the only status update was "In transit". This was also the update in February when we checked. I phoned 3 @ 1, the postal, business communication company which I used to mail the documents and they informed me that the Post Office has been striking for round about 3 weeks. If she hasn't told me about the strike I wouldn't know about it. The only help I got from them was the number of the Capemail office in Cape Town, since they told me it was still at the head office in Cape Town. After I spoke to a lady at the Cape Town office, she confirmed that the documents were in fact already in Johannesburg on the 28th of February. She gave me a number and I spoke several times a day to Ntabising and he told me that they we're still striking and that the container needs to be opened and no one can open it. This was what I was
