On the 29 Dec 2011 I purchased a Ceilini luggage roller at a price of R1100. I decided to take this expensive, supposed high quality product because of the 5 year warranty that came with it. Virtually a year later, after 2 uses of the bag (Dec 2011 Kruger Park and Dec 2012 Port Elizabeth). However, after or family trip to Port Elizabeth by car, the stitching at the top started coming loose, the roller handle didn't operate fully and couldn't fold down to the bottom at all as well as the one wheel broke off completely from rolling on the gravel road at our holiday house in Port Elizabeth. I took it bag to Bag Street in Northgate and without telling me there will be any costs involved, I received a repair cost of R435 and was told that it was due to AIRPORT DAMAGE even though that bag has not been traveled with by AIR!!! The manager of bag street dropped the repair price to R350, but still convinced that it was due to AIRPORT DAMAGE? My word against theirs and I'm coming short so the bag is costing me almost R1500. I would NOT recommend these expensive luggage brands as it costs you MUCH more in the end and they make you mind up for you when it comes to how it got damaged.
