Scrimped and saved to purchase an expensive Samsung series7 3d led tv only for it to give up the ghost just out of Warranty told it needs a new screen which will cost R6000-00, so be warned samsung products seem to be designed to die just out of warranty and then will cost a fortune to repair, rather buy a cheap tv than think the extra expense of a Samsung will be worthwhile.
The tv actually started showing signs of trouble while it was under warranty but as it seemed to be from usb and hdmi slots was not too concerned and was under impression tv only had one year warranty.
As we live on a Farm a good 400km from where we bought it we thought "ag its just a loose connection, will get it sorted when next down in PE.
Nah not just a loose connection but needs a new screen! so after 18 mths needs a new screen and evidently this is not an isolated case (repair centre).
So be warned do not be tempted by the gadgets its got a screen.
Samsung will never smell my cash again.
