Faulty new post office system not my problem!!!

I went to the postal office to renew my postal box today. The lady told me that they have been using a new system, which is faulty. Because of that, there are certain postal boxes which isn't visible on their system for renewal - mine is one of them apparently. The lady who works there asked me to go and pay at a post office who is still on the old system and bring the receipt back to her. That is not acceptable at all! I do not have the time! Standing in a queue already for 45 minutes is unacceptable, now this?

As a service provider, the problem is at the post office, not the customer. In such a case, the customer should be followed up, NOT asked to sort the problem out herself by going to pay elsewhere in order not to get penalized! If I do not pay my renewal, my postal box gets locked or I get penalized. I am a career woman who do not have time to stand in queues trying to sort out the service provider's problem.

I expect someone to come back to me in this regard, as the lady at the post office didn't help me at all, because she says it is out of her hands. I will take this matter further if my postal box do get locked or if I get penalized. The problem is not on my side.
