2 years ago, i tried to cancel my TV licence - reason being i had just been married and both my husband and i had tv licences. I spoke to a consultant and was then asked to forward a copy of my marriage certificate which i did. I have still been receiving my billing statement and it seems the only thing they did on their side was change my surname on my TV licence (which in itself is incorrect 'cos i have not changed my surname) I have received reminders for payment and on the 18th December i received an sms saying my name would be forwarded to the debt collectors. Can someone help clear this
