SA Post Office
Ude postal workers may as well be on strike

On 22 march I saw a first delivery notification on postal website. I went to collect my parcel but there was no slip in my post box. when i enquired, I was told the system was down so no-one could check. Later I came back with my tracking number. The lady said "next customer" and when I gave her the tracking number she tells me yet again the system is down (2 hours later). So I asked her to please go and check as the parcel was urgent. she then tells me she is too busy. At this stage I was 1 of 2 clients and there were 4 counter staff standing around doing nothing. When they eventually found my parcel I saw that the collection slip had just been stamped. Why did I get a first notification message when the parcel was just lying in a heap with everything else. The entire parklands post office is a MESS. post and parcels are standing all over, chucked in piles on the floor and counters - nothing is being sorted. The counter staff are rude and lazy - they will not lift a finger to help sort the post. Instead they stand around laughing and talking. With their bad attitude and disregard for customer service, they may as well join the striking workers at witspos!
