Hi... although the postal strike is over (a new one has begun, I hear), the postal service seems to me to have collapsed - and this was BEFORE the strike. From the beginning of December 2012, i have been sent 19 parcels from [URL Removed] some orders broken down into multiple shipments.By my count, 9 of these did not arrive. In addition, I have not received my weekly subscription copy of Time magazine for at least 7 weeks. Even items like bills and bank correspondence are hardly coming any more. in addition, an order from amazon in the US (prior to December 2012) was apparently returned to sender as untraceable (so said their email), although the address was my suburban home, which had received mail quite well before that. My wife lost her Christmas gift.
I've spoken to the local post office and to the Customer Centre and been told that they can't help. Since I am also told that the strike backlog has been cleared, i can only conclude that "loss" in the system makes postage a gamble. I advise people to be careful about sending thorugh the postal system.
