Battery clamp a cable strap

I am now the proud owner of a D105 lawn tractor. Not cheap mind you but then again quality does not come cheap they say. Well I wonder as the battery is held in place (not firmly) by a CABLE STRAP, I kid you not, no metal bracket but a 10 cent worth of plastic cable strap.
Have I made a mistake here in buying this brand?
