My husband travelled from White River to Malelane with a borrowed trailer to drop off our John Deere tractor lawnmower (about a 160km round trip). About a week later on a Friday my husband phoned and was told that the lawnmower is ready. So he travelled to malelane (again with the borrowed trailer) to fetch it. When he got there the machine wasn't fixed properly. On one side of the engine a STICK was used because the correct part was not available! So they gave him another lawnmower to use in the meantime. When he got home and wanted to mow the lawn, the lawnmower started and everything, but the problem was that the machine has no belt to drive the cutting blade. So the only thing it was good for, was to drive around on ..if you had time to waste.
A few days later someone from John Deere Malelane brought our machine back. He couldn't load their loan machine because he was on his own. After he left, I wanted to start mowing the lawn. I turned the key, but got no response. Maybe the battery is flat... I don't know. I expect a lawnmower which has been returned from a service, to be in working order. It is almost time for a new one, but I don't think it will be green.
