I bought a portable DVD player with and extended guarantee from Tafelberg Furnishers. I specifically asked if the battery falls within the extended guarantee and the salesman confirmed that. Now the battery got extremely hot and has blown up the first time we used the DVD player after six months. I took it in and now they said it is due to continuous usage that it did that and it is not covered within the guarantee. under 6.12 of their guarantee all that is excluded is batteries that stop working due to daily use. The battery did not stop working it has blown up due to a malfunction of the battery.
I am terribly dissatisfied with the service I got from their service department. This will probably be the last time I bought anything from them.
