We bought a laminating machine, opened it and laminated our first product. The lamination did not seal the product properly so we phoned the supplier immediately. They collected the machine and send us an invoice for a fuse. Correspondence states that we opened the machine and broke a seal so we lost our warranty. No such action was taken, we dont have the knowledge or skill to open the machine. Telephonic discussions with Tracy of their office states that the sales and marketing managers say we opened the machine and broke the seal therefor, we need to pay for the repairs. She also advised that the conversation is recorded.
It is extremely poor conduct that management cant phone their clients directly and that they supply broken machines and then refuse to repair them.
I have advised that the report will be posted on Hello Peter as well as be taken to the Consumer Board.
