I'm having problems with a package sent to me from Hong Kong by air- mail on the 26th of April 2013.For the past week I've been calling the post office at 0860111592 and everyday I was told that my package was not in the country yet. Eventually my fiance went back to his post office in Hong Kong and they told him that on their system it showed that the parcel arrived in South Africa on the 30th of April. When i called SA Post office again they said the package was not in the country and I told them that theres proof that the parcel arrived in the country, then that's when they searched their system more and told me that my parcel was at southdale post office. When I got to southdale they initially gave me problems because my package now had a no name written on it. Eventually they found my parcel and told me that according to customs I had to pay R8916.60 to get my parcel because customs valued it at R14560.00.I refused to pay because it was ridiculous as the package only contained a few items of clothing with a total value of less than R2000 and my fiance clearly stated that it was a gift. I've been trying to call customs on 0119616000 for 2 days and they do not answer.
