More than 8 years ago (in 2005) I had an MTN account, which I settled. I have never received any letters from anyone informing me that still owed them money. I have subsequently bought a car, obtained a credit card from one of the leading banks in South Africa, bought a house (with a mortgage in access of R800 000) and had a clear credit record!! No where on my credit health record for the past three years, was I blacklisted by MTN for an outstanding account!! What's the chances that MTN would not have taken me to court for this matter? MBD Attorneys is flooding my email with letters of demand which I am still disputing. I am in the process of consulting with an attorney as I will take this matter further. IF THEY ARE PIGGYBACKING OFF AN OLD ACCOUNT THAT WAS SUBSEQUENTLY SETTLED, THEY HAVE PICKED THE WRONG PERSON.
