Account paid in full, but not resolved

I had an account with Telkom and was in arrears. They handed me over to their attorneys last year August/September 2012. I paid the account in full end of October 2012. The attorney told me that if I paid in the said amount in full by end October 2012, I would be taken off the credit bureau as a default payer. I thought the matter was resolved and Telkom approved me for a 8ta Data Contract. I tried to apply for credit and was declined. I then checked my credit record on the credit bureau and saw that Telkom had put me on as default payer on my previous account that was settled in full. This account was settled in October 2012, but I was placed on the credit bureau February 2013!! My current account with Telkom is on a debit order and I am not in arrears. I need clarity on why there is still an amount outstanding on my previous account and why no one from Telkom or the attorneys contacted me regarding the outstanding account.
