According to: [URL Removed], Discovery Health Medical Scheme claims to be given the "highest possible credit rating" by Global Credit Ratings for their ability to pay their members' claims. They claim that this highest possible rating is an AA rating.
However, according the website of Global Credit Ratings ( [URL Removed]), and as seen on the table labeled: Claims Paying Ability Rating Scale, the highest possible rating to be given is AAA, not AA .
I feel that Discovery Health exploited the lack of knowledge by the average consumer concerning credit ratings. As a consumer researching possible medical aid schemes, I feel that Discovery Health tried to gain the trust of possible clients, based on erroneous information.
An explanation would be appreciated.
