My husband had a Heel fracture, which is according to the Doctors a PMB, we send Discovery Health all the necessary paperwork what they requested. And when they requested a detailed letter from the doctor explaining why the doctor had to send him for a CT Scan he also put the correct codes on the letter (2nd) letter, applied for the PMB.I had to phone them back for feedback all the time they never give feedback only respond with a email saying they received my email and will investigate. The last call I made I hold on for 57 minutes. The Council of Medical aid already agreed it is a PMB and the medical aid must pay all the procedures done from day one. The medical aid told me with the last call they decline the Ct Scan but agree it is a PMB.They told me that the PMB and code the doctor gave me doesn't include CTscan. So why then did they ask me to go to the doctor requesting a detailed letter explaining to them why my husband went for a CT scan? Up to now all procedures went from my normal savings, Discovery accepts that it is a PMB but still uses all my savings for fracture. Why the use agreeing that it is PMB but still deduct everything from my savings.
